Sounds Good was formed in 1995. They appeared for four years as a trio at Donna’s Restaurant in Columbia. Their other performance venues have included restaurants, concerts, festivals, museums and galleries, weddings, professional conferences, dances, and private parties.

Sounds Good! conveys a strong musical message with as few as two pieces or as many as five, depending on the performance situation. Profiles of our core group of musicians are given below. Beyond our duo format we draw from a fool of very talented, experience musicians on bass, drums, saxophone, trumpet, & trombone players.

Bob Jacobson ( Sax, clarinet learned from his uncle as well as instruction in public schools. He was a member of the Rhode Island All-State Band during high school. continue reading…

warren woldWarren Wolf is a multi-instrumentalist who lives in Baltimore, Maryland. From a very young age until present time, Warren plays many different instruments which include the vibraphone/marimba,drums/percussion, and the piano/keyboards. As a youth, Warren attended the Peabody Preparatory of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland where he studied with former Baltimore Symphony member Leo LePage. Lady AAdrienne Brooks was born March 4, 1964, in Baltimore, Maryland. Her first performance as a Vocalist was when she sang “Alfie” for her family at the age of four. At the age of seven, she began attending the Maryland School for the Blind. She met her met her husband Corey Brooks at the school when she needed an accompanist for a recital. continue reading…

AJQ plays a well-rounded mix of progressive jazz, funk, & R&B. The members of AJQ have performed and/or shared the stage with nationally known artists such as: Dizzy Gillespie, Wynton Marsalis, Larry Coryel, Clark Terry, & Max Roach.

As a group AJQ has been featured on the syndicated television program “Evening Exchange”, performed at The BET Jazz Club and BET Soundstage. AJQ has captivated audiences at numerous public and private venues. continue reading…
