In 1989 a group of fans and musicians, dedicated to the music of Parliament and Funkadelic held a Funk Mob Reunion in Annapolis, Maryland. The reunion went on to become an annual function. In 1990, George “Dr. Funkenstein” Clinton, having heard of the band, was invited to witness his clones. Being moved by the talent of the band, George joined in the performance. A few years later, he invited the band to play for his birthday party in New York City. George continues his high regard for this group, and his wish to “get in the studio with you guys” was granted in November 2000.
