Ellen Cherry is a singer, songwriter, musician, designer, artist, producer, recording engineer, and human.

Once a character in a novel, ellen cherry sprung form the pages of a book in 1997,and began her life as a living, breathing, dynamic performer. Mixing equal parts of pathos and humor throughout her songs, ellen cherry is mysterious and powerful on stage. She seamlessly fuses her love of History, Poetry, and Literature with the Usual Suspects of Love, Loss, and Despair, with a powerful commanding voice and a command of Power Chords on her guitar.

An artist incapable of stopping the process of creation, ellen cherry ahs recorded and released original music continuously since 1997. Although her main instruments are acoustic and electric guitar and voice, ellen also writes, records and performs on piano, cello, squeezebox, mandolin, and the jitterbug (an instrument that has not been invented yet). Her style has been described as “spunky downer pop for History buffs” and, yes, she is over 5”10’ tall! continue reading…

Randy Lotz began his musical career during the seventies with a band appropriately named Beginnings. He also performed with several other bands including Apricot Brandy, U.S. Bang, The New Diablos, and Sugar Cane. During this time Randy began playing as a solo artist, first in piano bars, and then technology advanced he began using midi keyboards and was at the forefront of sequencing tracks for a full band sound. continue reading…

He’s played in barns in Indiana and open fields in Pennsylvania, on the beach in South Carolina, in Utah bars, California coffeehouses, campuses, churches and community centers throughout the land, and wherever he goes-folks have a great time. The Dale Coleman Duo

Biography: The Dale Coleman Duo specializes in Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, PoP/Top40, and Beach Music for all occasions. The members of the band are Dale Coleman (Guitar, Vocals, and percussion) and Danielle Renee (Vocals). The Duo can also add a third piece when the occasion calls for it. Dale Coleman began performing professionally at the age of fifteen with the band “Expressway”, touring and opening for such acts as “Crack The Sky” and “Foghat”. In the late 80’s he was a member of the “Heat and the Cold Sweat Horns”, voted Baltimore best band (Baltimore Magazine) 1987-1990. After leaving the “Heat” he attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood California and received a degree in music performance. continue reading…

pic1Chalk Dust is a fairly new duet, but the two members, Kathy Scarborough and Chuck Selfe, each have an extensive musical history. Both have been members of several successful bands and musical groups performing in the mid-Atlantic area. In addition, they are both holding down the steady gig of being musical educators. It is this collection of rich musical experiences as well as their diverse musical backgrounds that make Chalk Dust an exceptional act in its own right.

Kathy Scarborough has played for over 20 years in the Baltimore music scene. She started as an acoustic soloist/guitarist/keyboardist playing in virtually every acoustic venue there was around. She ventured on to performing with Debi Bell in a local duo Bell and Wilhelm and eventually added bassist Gary Waugh to become the group Half Crazy. She later played in New Town, a variety band and most recently with the Starleigh group Tony Berry and New Money. In addition to playing with Chalk Dust, she also plays keys for Release. During the day she is a music teacher in Harford County, Maryland developing the talents of the next generation of performers. continue reading…

Brian ColganBrian Colgan began his professional musical career in Hanover, PA as a teenager in 1971, when with drummer Joe Clark, his younger brother Pat and keyboard player Jeff Allen, he helped form his first band, The Sound Experiment. As a vocalist, guitarist and keyboard player, he forged a reputation as a solid singer, musician and performer in the nearby Pennsylvania/Maryland area. For several decades he has performed, improving as a singer and entertainer and picked up several other instruments such as the flute, violin, mandolin and pedal steel guitar. He also began, in those first years, writing his own tunes and continued to hone his skill as a songwriter over the years. continue reading…
