Gumption Group
The Gumption Group is an exceptional group. The Gumption Group can perform as a duo, trio, quartet, or quintet according to the specific needs of your event. If so desired a female or male vocalist can be included.
The quartet is extremely popular and features Corey Brooks on Keyboards, Clayton McClendon (played with Wilson Pickett) on Guitar, Morris “Pinky” Harris on Drums, & Paul Johns on Saxophone. Paul plays alto, tenor, & baritone sax.
Their repertoire consists of instrumental arrangements of Jazz, R&B, Funk, & Standards. Special requests are their speciality. If you need a special song for your affair they will be glad to prepare
a version of it for you.
Some of the places The Gumption Group has performed in Baltimore include The York Inn in Cockeysville, Maryland, Paolo’s at The Inner Harbor, The Baltimore Convention Center, The Hyatt Regency Baltimore, The Marriott Inner Harbor, & The Marriott Waterfront Hotel for various Convention Events. The Group has also performed at the Maryland Million at Laurel Race Track in October of 2003, & at a Trade Show for the H&M Wagner Company in October of 2003.
In Washington, The Group has performed at Union Station, The Museum Of National History, & The Marriott Wardman Park for Convention Events, & at The Bohemian Caverns & The Phillips Flagship Restaurant in Washington.
